Allowlist LinearB IP Addresses in GitHub Cloud
Overview
If your GitHub Cloud organization or enterprise restricts access with an IP allow list, add LinearB's IP addresses so the LinearB GitHub App (or Personal Access Token (PAT)) can continue to sync repositories, pull requests, and Git activity.
All LinearB requests to GitHub originate from fixed IP addresses. gitStream uses a separate set of addresses.
This step is only required if an IP allow list is enabled for your GitHub organization or enterprise. If it is not enabled, no action is needed.
LinearB IP Addresses
LinearB platform (required for the Git integration):
52.15.80.8518.118.232.22954.241.87.2654.193.121.186
gitStream (required only if you use gitStream):
13.56.203.23554.151.81.98
Before You Begin
- GitHub Enterprise Cloud (IP allow lists are a GitHub Enterprise Cloud feature)
- GitHub organization owner permissions, or enterprise owner permissions for an enterprise-level allow list
- The list of LinearB IP addresses above
Add LinearB to Your GitHub IP Allow List
- In GitHub, open your organization and go to Settings → Authentication security. For an enterprise-level allow list, go to your enterprise Settings → Authentication security instead.
- Under IP allow list, enter the first LinearB IP address in the IP address field.
- Optionally, enter a description such as
LinearBorgitStream. - Click Add.
- Repeat for each LinearB platform IP address, and for each gitStream IP address if you use gitStream.
- Confirm that each entry is enabled.
Verify the Connection
- In LinearB, go to Settings → Company Settings and select the Git tab.
- Confirm that your GitHub integration shows no connection errors.
- Open a test pull request and confirm that it appears in LinearB.
Troubleshooting
Repositories stop syncing after the allow list is enabled
Verify that all four LinearB platform IP addresses are in the allow list and enabled. If any address is missing, GitHub rejects some LinearB requests.
gitStream does not comment on or label pull requests
Verify that both gitStream IP addresses are in the allow list. gitStream automations that run in your own CI/CD runners (for example, GitHub Actions) use the runner's IP addresses, so those must also be allowed.
