Metrics in Agentic Studio
Understand the metrics in Agentic Studio: LinearB Catalog metrics, metrics the assistant generates, and metrics you build.
A metric is a named, reusable measurement over your engineering data, calculated for the selected team and time period. In Agentic Studio you see metrics as widgets on dashboards and in AI Assistant answers.

Kinds of metrics
Kind | Where it comes from |
LinearB Catalog metric | Curated by LinearB. Used in the LinearB Catalog dashboards and in assistant answers. |
Generated metric | Built by the assistant in Explore mode when no catalog metric answers your question. |
Custom metric | Built by you in the builder, with AI or by writing the query. See Create a custom metric. |
Where to find metrics
- Ask the AI Assistant.
- Open a dashboard in Studio, including the LinearB Catalog dashboards AI ROI, Engineering Health, and Software Factory.
Metrics available only in Classic
The Classic Metrics Dashboard (DORA, Throughput, Delivery, Quality), Custom Dashboards, and Custom PM Metrics are available only in Classic. AI Analytics is available as a Classic page under AI Leverage. See What's changed from Classic.
