Use the AI Assistant to explore engineering metrics, identify trends, and answer questions about your organization’s software delivery data using natural language.

AI Assistant Explore lets you ask questions about your engineering organization using natural language. Instead of manually navigating dashboards or creating filters, you can ask the AI Assistant about delivery performance, AI adoption, review bottlenecks, cycle time, and other engineering metrics.

The AI Assistant analyzes data already available in your LinearB workspace and generates answers, summaries, and recommendations to help engineering leaders and teams understand software delivery performance.

AI Assistant Explore is currently available as an Open Beta.

Overview

AI Assistant Explore provides a conversational interface for analyzing engineering data within LinearB.

Rather than navigating multiple dashboards, you can ask questions such as:

  • Are our teams using AI coding tools?
  • How is AI impacting our delivery velocity?
  • Where are our largest review bottlenecks?
  • Which teams have the longest cycle times?

The assistant uses data already collected by LinearB to generate responses that help you understand engineering trends and identify areas for improvement.

Open the AI Assistant

  1. Open any supported LinearB dashboard.
  2. Click AI Assistant in the page header.
  3. Enter a question or select one of the suggested prompts.
  4. Review the AI-generated response.

  • Which teams have the highest review time?
  • How has cycle time changed this month?
  • Are engineers adopting AI coding tools?
  • What is slowing down our pull request workflow?
  • Which repositories require attention?
AI-generated responses are based on the engineering data available in your LinearB workspace. Review responses before making operational decisions.

Requirements

  • AI Services must be enabled.
  • You must have permission to view the requested engineering data.

Limitations

  • AI Assistant Explore is available as an Open Beta.
  • Responses are generated from available LinearB data and may not include information that has not yet been synchronized.
