The Teams feature in LinearB helps you build a high-performing engineering culture using insights from your team’s iterations, activity, goals, and coaching data. Each Teams tab offers a unique view of delivery health, productivity trends, and growth opportunities—at both the team and individual level.
Iterations
Iterations provides a team-based view of sprint execution. Use it to evaluate sprint accuracy, delivery outcomes, and effort breakdown.
You can track:
- Planned vs. completed work
- Added scope during the sprint
- Investment profile across tasks, bugs, and vulnerabilities
- People effort, including FTEs and most active contributors
AI-Powered Insight: Click View AI Iteration Summary for an automated analysis of sprint performance—highlighting risks like overcommitment, inconsistent delivery, or shifting priorities.

Activity
Activity helps teams monitor throughput, delivery velocity, and potential burnout. It includes:
- Work in Progress (WIP) and completed items
- Cycle time, active days, and PR volume
- Code changes, repositories, and review depth
AI-Powered Insight: LinearB highlights productivity changes and prolonged WIP patterns that may indicate burnout or delivery bottlenecks.

Goals
In Goals, you can define improvement objectives and track how well your team meets them across key engineering benchmarks:
- PR Size – limit large, risky PRs
- PR Pickup & Review Time – shorten feedback loops
- PR Lifecycle – optimize for faster merges
- Review Quality – reduce unreviewed or low-quality merges
Each chart shows goal progress and historical trends.
AI-Powered Insight: Goals nearing risk status are flagged automatically, helping you course-correct before they’re missed.

Coaching (Beta)
The Coaching dashboard gives personalized feedback to individual developers—helping them grow with data-backed insights.
Each user’s dashboard shows:
- Developer Experience – pickup, merge, and deployment wait times
- Wellness & workload – PR activity visualized over time
- Code contributions, languages, and top branches
- Radar chart showing PR and review behavior
AI-Powered Insight: AI highlights areas for improvement in developer behavior—perfect for data-driven 1:1s and mentorship.
